The world has a wealth of concerned organizations–known as charities, NGO’s, or simply nonprofits–that focus on important issues ranging from health, education, or disaster relief to community development, human rights, or the environment. Some of these organizations address one specific issue, many address multiple issues, some are concerned only with their local geographic area, others have a global reach. What all of these organizations have in common is positive intent. They’re all designed to make the world a better place.
This is where my passion lies.
The purpose of my photography is to examine the root/underlying issues behind an organization's mission. Key questions to be answered are: why is an organization's work important? What drives them? How do the issues an organization addresses affect others?
When I undertake a project my intent is to gain a greater understanding of why an organization is needed, and to share that understanding with as broad an audience as possible.
